Another great and hot news from Google: Street Views. Wonder what’s that? Do not. It’s exactly as google said: A street view.
Not to be left behind, Google announced their own bit of mapping news at O’Reilly’s Where 2.0 conference today: the debut of ‘Street View’ maps. The new maps are essentially a 360 panoramic image taken from a specific point on the street

The Street View maps are developed in partnership with Immersive Media, which according to the O’Reilly Radar blog is “a company that has an eleven lens camera capable of taking full, high-res video while driving along city streets.” What that means is that these Street View maps, because they are extracted from video shot while driving, are not just static images at random points around the city. They can be advanced fluidly down the street.

Hei, acesta e primul meu articol scris in limba romana… si eu care credeam ca voi scrie doar in engleza, ca noh…

Nascuti in perioada anilor ‘80 ( eu mi’s din 78 iar mesajul l-am primit in 2006;))

The Internet it’s full of surprises. Today i discovered another one. And It’s called Pligg. So i decided to give a short review.
What’s That Pligg? In a short way of saying, it’s a CMS (content management system) based to host directories, articles, and give ratings (vote) for that itema.
What’s so interesting on it? it’s a fancy alternative to Digg, and have a great coder community in the back. Pligg forum seems to be pretty active. Lot of suggestion for Pligg development, features, lot of tips and people eager to have their own digg system…
So… give a try. For me, they sound so good, and i think, in time, i might jump in the development. Who know?

Ah, forgot something. Pligg is already on version 9.5 beta.
I installed for myself, and … i must say that’s a hot tool.
Why? It allow members to have their own adsenses (earning cash for reading their own article!)
It is a great tool to import your articles straight from Digg!
And.. many more.
If you wanna test it, just register at http://www.digg.lejer.ro/ and set your profile and articles.
You’ll surely enjoy!

Yeah, time come to enhance a bit my own blog look. So, i choose one of the free ‘widget ready’ templates, and i start overiding, changes and setup.
There’s a lot to do when you change your template.
And, guess what? i’m also updated my wordpress to latest version (2.2). Should i say that i got some ‘must code to fix’ from that update, but’s nothing that i can’t handle.
And.. yup, the new layout looks much better that the previous one.
Now’s time to inaugurate it with some new articles, no? and of course, some more features in.
