What a surprise.. Google and Dmoz together :)
Just crawled a bit around internet and i found that directory.google.com. Surprised, i took a look for submission link. And there was the big surprise… the links are directly linked to Dmoz.

There’s the links: http://directory.google.com or http://www.google.com/dirhp.
They are growing up, as they had connected with the biggest directory in the world, no?
Hmm – i said – another great mark on google side. What’s next?

Another reseach, using the same google:) shows me another forum discution, from 2006. Worth to read it, right here.

So far, no one said directly that: Google took Dmoz, or Google affiliates with Dmoz.
People just complains in many places that their directories seems to fail in ranks, compared to another rankings, as yahoo, or another search engines:)

It will be interesting to see your point of view.

Let spare our opinions on that.
Your comments are welcome.

Ei, just looked at Google Products and got another smile. They published even a Web Accelerator. Nice. I’m installing it right now:) And btw, there’s few NEW products there: Notebook, YouTube, even a Patent Search (all US patents)

Hei, just want to present you something great: OpenID feature for your blog. My website’s already enabled to use that one, and i can tell you that it’s a great tool! To have your login by using a web url. A legitimate and easy to use feature. Lot of websites already have such “things”, and i name only one for now: ma.gnolia. Search about openid enabled websites and you’ll get the feeling. Watch numbers on the right;))

Now, something quick about what’s that:

To login to an OpenID-enabled website (even one you’ve never been to before), just type your OpenID URI. The website will then redirect you to your OpenID Provider to login using whatever credentials it requires. Once authenticated, your OpenID provider will send you back to the website with the necessary credentials to log you in. By using Strong Authentication where needed, the OpenID Framework can be used for all types of transactions, both extending the use of pure single-sign-on as well as the sensitivity of data shared.

i just read an interesting article , and here’s my own thoughts over it… It’s night and i can’t sleep. My tooth pain… again:(

The title say all… “Google preparing to police web – Another sheriff in Town ?”
My question it’s that : Why google want to enter also in the privacy section? Initially, it was planned to be a free service for all people… and now…?:)
Google seems to take action on every section of the internet.
Commercial, private info, securing (in their own opinion) the internet. But… internet was started in the “Free” like spirit.

There’s a lot to discuss…
My personal opinion it’s that Google tries to enter in every action domain he can. Remember, not a long time ago they bought a lot of space close to energy… cheap energy for their servers. But… why? what’s their plan? Global coverage. Psychical and Spiritual. They will give the information you will search for(or you’re already searching. Hehe).

And… remember, where they start from? a little garage:)
