AIESEC Romania

Hmm, my old activity during university period: AIESEC Tirgu Mures. Was the second year of that LC in Tirgu Mures, when i was asked to join it, by the LC president. Started like a “Let’s see what’s there” finished to become one of my favorite activity. Too bad that i finished university classes and automatically went out of LC.
Memories remains, i’m reading from time to time from their activities, even chatting with some of their past members. I was a proud aiesecar, in the exchange dept. Hehe, when we started, we were two person in that dept. One for incomming, and one for outgoing, setting matches between offers and requests. From a bunch of people spreaded in all Romania, now, AIESEC in RO got their own impact, in all major universities.
Hehe, i remember something : Ah, you were too in Aiesec? and another person : Nooo, stop it NOW!! You’re too many:))
Yeah, “aisecars” love to chat about their own way. But… AIESEC it’s not only a “exchange students” organization, that one implies much more, starting from personal trainings and prof. trainings, creating leaders and much much more. The main words: “positive change”
Words are nothing, but for sure you can meet some AIESEC members pretty close to you. Just wander around your university, they should post their own posters or insignia.

You can read plenty of their own activities right on their main site: http://www.aiesec.org/
I have extracted something for RO section: (i’m proud)
AIESEC in Romania is currently present in 13 universities in the most importat cities around the country , AIESEC is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact in society.

Every year, AIESEC in Romania, runs 18 national conferences , and over 40 local ones . Also, over 78 leaders emerge from the Local Committees in order to run AIESEC in our country. Last year we offered opportunities to work abroad worldwide through our Exchange program to 118 students and also helped over 500 Romanian students to get employed at different companies we worked with on different projects we ran.

This year, AIESEC in Romania developed a lot, getting to be in Top 5 in CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) and Top 10 Worldwide , in terms of quality and numbers of people and organisations we had an impact on.

Our groups of partners include different multinational companies, but also national and local ones, which are sometimes involved directly in development of students and AIESEC members. They support both financially and with knowledge our activities and programs.

One of the largest and most important conferences AIESEC runs is International Presidents Meeting (I.P.M.) , where all the AIESEC Presidents from the member countries gather in order to elect the Global Management Team in our organisation and to discuss about the issues the world is confronting with and find sollutions for them.
